Sunday Andy and I went to Cincinnati to have a champagne brunch with Non-Insane In-Laws...

This is Parker's Blue Ash Grill. The food was beyond belief.

As were the drinks:

No one wanted theirs so I took them! Mimosa's AND Bloody Mary's. Can I live here?

This is all of us.

This will be my next sewing adventure:

I did make an owl necklace. I like this one better I don't think the owl I used is big enough to make my point, though.

I have moved on to hors d'oeuvres. Like something that woud have been served in The Ice Storm at the key party. Which even without the amazing clothes is in my top 5 favorite films/books. Not that I would participate in a key party. But definately a Tupperware party?

So this is what I came up with:

Pimento cheesespread with pepperoni on a cracker. Of course red wine as well. Maybe valium. Mix it up. I remember my grandma and aunts making food like this when I was younger and I was just disgusted by it. But I loved the parties. My own parties included drinking grape juice, or whatever, from a wineglass and pretending I knew Maude.

And wearing my grandma's shoes that looked like this:
. I thought I was very classy.

I was such a confused child.

Funny? Valentine?

This was a Valentine's Day Cooking Project: Asparagus and Artichoke Quiche!

Andy made this crust from scratch so it was very yum. It would have been more artihokey but I kept eating them out of the can.

We are going to a Hindu Meet-Up tonight. It's at the former Udupi Cafe. I don't know the new name. You should go! Even if you don't eat you get free chai! I told Andy I will be new Indian husband shopping. He didn't laugh. But I'm pretty sure he'd ship me to India with the first offer he got.

Also. I took Emilio to the eye doc today. Guess what they had? A Starbucks in the lobby! This immediately made me think of the Lewis Black (<3) Starbucks rant. Sadly it didn't prompt a rant from Emilio. The new Spanish hip-hop CD he got seems to have lulled him.

Plus I didn't realize there was so much stuff over by Emerson and County Line Road.

I think I need to be on the Clean House show as an advisor.
I'm pretty sure I'd make a great assistant for:

Yes? No?
