This will be my next sewing adventure:

I did make an owl necklace. I like this one better I don't think the owl I used is big enough to make my point, though.

I have moved on to hors d'oeuvres. Like something that woud have been served in The Ice Storm at the key party. Which even without the amazing clothes is in my top 5 favorite films/books. Not that I would participate in a key party. But definately a Tupperware party?

So this is what I came up with:

Photobucket

Pimento cheesespread with pepperoni on a cracker. Of course red wine as well. Maybe valium. Mix it up. I remember my grandma and aunts making food like this when I was younger and I was just disgusted by it. But I loved the parties. My own parties included drinking grape juice, or whatever, from a wineglass and pretending I knew Maude.

And wearing my grandma's shoes that looked like this:
. I thought I was very classy.

I was such a confused child.

  1. Love, love, love. I want the dress, and the owl and the shoes! 'Specially the maxi though, I love dresses like that. I think they're so flattering, on anybody. They have to be- they made me feel teeny when I was 40 weeks pregnant! Twice!

  2. Haha! I miss those shoes. My g-ma was the local version of Mrs. Roper. She also had the sandals like Sophia wears in SILVER!

I'm just really into brown lately with bold patterns. The only bad thing about this style is I cant wear them for work. I think I may alter the pattern a bit and try to make one suitable for both summer and work.

The necklace was super easy. The Jo-Ann's here had an after X-Mess clearance sale and had all the fun charms for 50 cents! I thought my brain would explode. And a lot of them were ones I had seen on Modcloth.com for crazy prices!
